Your observations.
Your control.
Privacy policy for SENSE by 80EZ Studio LTD.
Effective and last updated: 8 September 2026
SENSE processes camera and sensor input on your iPhone. It does not automatically upload your recordings, depth readings or private places to 80EZ Studio. No SENSE account is required, and the app contains no advertising, tracking or third-party analytics SDK.
Local-first does not mean every interaction is offline: Apple Maps, device backups, TestFlight, support email, this website and destinations you choose for sharing have separate data handling, explained below.
1. Who is responsible?
80EZ Studio LTD provides SENSE. Contact 80ezstudio@gmail.com for privacy questions or requests. This policy covers the current SENSE iPhone app, its beta where applicable, and these public support pages.
2. What the app uses and stores
- Camera and microphone: live camera input, saved photos and videos, and optional microphone audio. You choose when to record. Microphone permission is required for the related audio function.
- Sensor measurements: available phone-motion, magnetic-field and pressure readings selected for an observation, plus camera-derived brightness/change information where a tool uses it. Saved records may include timestamps, user markers, trigger settings, capture settings, source details and measurement gaps.
- Depth: supported tools process real depth measurements and can save sampled distance grids and source facts. A grid can depict nearby surfaces, including a person if the camera is pointed at them. SENSE does not access Face ID credentials or use depth data to identify people, build identity profiles or target advertising.
- Private places: names, observation points, optional coordinates, imported floor-plan images and associated recording context. Location access is requested when you ask SENSE to position a place; you can instead choose a position manually or save without one. SENSE does not publish a directory of your places.
- Preferences and file information: selected settings and file metadata used to operate the app, display storage information and check saved media.
These observations are processed and stored locally for the functions you choose. SENSE does not sell them, use them for cross-app advertising, or send them to an AI service. It does not assign a paranormal cause or make decisions about a person's identity.
3. Permissions and your choices
Camera, microphone, motion and location access are requested for the related features. You can change permissions in iPhone Settings → Apps → SENSE, or find SENSE directly in Settings on older iOS versions. Turning off a permission prevents the related live function; it does not erase saved observations or require you to create an account. Only record people and places where you have permission.
4. Sharing and export
When you choose an export destination, the selected original media and report or depth-reading file are made available to that app or service. Media reports omit saved place context by default unless you choose to include it. However, original pictures, audio and embedded media information may still identify people or places. Reports can include dates, source information, selected measurements and recording facts. Check the files before sharing.
The receiving app or service handles exported copies under its own terms and privacy practices. Deleting an original in SENSE does not delete a copy you have exported elsewhere. SENSE does not operate a public media feed.
5. Apple services and backups
The map uses Apple Maps and can contact Apple to load map content. Your interaction with Maps is subject to Apple Maps & Privacy. SENSE does not use a map request to publish your private place notebook.
Device backups, including iCloud backups if enabled, may contain local app data according to your Apple settings. SENSE does not provide its own cloud account or cloud backup service. Manage backups through your device or backup provider.
If you use TestFlight, Apple and the developer may receive crash information, usage information and feedback through Apple's beta-testing service. Apple may also make diagnostics available according to your device sharing settings. This is separate from SENSE uploading your observation library. See Apple's privacy information and the disclosures shown by TestFlight.
6. Retention and deletion
Saved observations remain on your device until you remove them or the app's data. In builds with capture Storage, moving a capture to Recently Deleted retains its files and continues to use storage. Events → Storage provides restore and permanent deletion for those captures. No automatic deletion period is applied to Recently Deleted.
Depth readings, imported place images, export preparation files and unindexed files are separate from the capture list. Capture deletion is not an erase-all command. To remove all local SENSE app data, use Delete App in iPhone Settings; Offload App retains documents. Export anything you want to keep first. Manage device backups and copies already shared with other apps separately. We cannot retrieve or remotely erase a library held only on your phone.
7. Support messages
If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond, investigate the reported issue and manage the support request. Email is handled by the email providers involved, including Gmail for the published support address. Do not send passwords or unnecessary personal media.
We retain support correspondence for as long as reasonably needed to resolve the request, follow up on the issue and meet applicable legal obligations. You can ask us to delete correspondence, subject to those obligations. We do not add you to a marketing list just because you request support.
8. This website
These pages are hosted on GitHub Pages. We have added no analytics scripts, advertising, forms, third-party fonts or tracking cookies. GitHub may process technical request information, such as IP addresses, to host and secure the pages under the GitHub Privacy Statement. Visiting this site does not give GitHub access to SENSE observations stored on your iPhone.
9. Privacy requests and protection
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of personal information, and to receive a portable copy. Contact us using the email above about information you have provided to us. For your local observation library, use the app's export/deletion controls and your device settings. Requests about Apple, GitHub or a sharing destination's own processing should also be directed to that provider. You may contact your local data-protection authority if you have an unresolved concern.
We use support information to provide the assistance you request and address product issues; where applicable, this serves our legitimate interest in supporting the app and its users, alongside any legal obligations. SENSE does not require advertising consent. No method of storage or transmission can guarantee absolute security; protect your phone, backups and exported files.
10. Changes
We will update this page and its date if SENSE's privacy practices change. New cloud, analytics, account or purchase-related data practices would need to be described before being introduced; this policy does not imply those features are currently available.
