Every Read Privacy Policy
Last updated: 26 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how 80EZ Studio collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you use Every Read.
Every Read is a personal reading tracker designed to help you save books, track reading progress, manage notes and quotes, organise your personal bookshelf, and, where available and permitted, use account, cloud, book discovery, paid, subscription, affiliate, safety, and social features.
Who We Are
Every Read is developed and published by 80EZ Studio and may be made available in the United Kingdom, the United States, and other countries. For personal information processed through Every Read, 80EZ Studio is the data controller or business responsible for the information unless a third-party service acts as an independent controller or business under its own privacy terms.
Contact email: 80ezstudio@gmail.com
Important Age Rules
Every Read Pro and Community are currently available only to users aged 18 or over.
Users under 18 may continue to use the Free features that are available to them, including local-only reading tracker features. An under-18 result blocks access to Pro and Community even if a subscription or entitlement was previously associated with the account.
Every Read does not ask Free users for a birth date merely to use the Free reading tracker. An age assessment is requested only when a user deliberately attempts to access Pro, Community, or another feature that requires adult eligibility.
When an age assessment is required, the birth date you enter is processed only to determine an age band. My Every Read stores the resulting age band, the date and time of the assessment, and the age-assessment policy version used. The full birth date is not retained in the Every Read database, user profile, or application logs.
The current age bands are under 13, 13 to 15, 16 to 17, and adult. Only the adult age band is eligible for Pro and Community. Users assessed as under 18 are not shown Pro prices, trial offers, purchase controls, or restore-purchase controls, and the app does not intentionally begin a purchase request for them.
Information We Collect
Every Read may collect, store, or process information you provide, create, import, or choose to share so that the app can operate and provide the features you request.
This may include:
- Books you add to your bookshelf.
- Book titles, authors, page counts, cover information, descriptions, ISBNs, source identifiers, and related book details.
- Reading status, reading progress, ratings, reading dates, favourites, reading goals, and reading history.
- Notes, quotes, reviews, reactions, messages, invitations, and other reading-related text you choose to save or share.
- Profile preferences, such as username, reading bio, profile visibility, selected preset avatar, discoverability settings, and privacy settings.
- A name or profile information supplied by your sign-in provider where it is received for account or authentication purposes.
- Social information, such as friends, friend requests, blocked accounts, profile discoverability, Community activity, Page Partner invitations, Page Partner participation, Page Partner messages, and related notifications.
- Age-assessment information, consisting of the birth date processed temporarily for the assessment and the stored age band, assessment timestamp, and assessment policy version.
- Reports, moderation requests, evidence snapshots, moderation decisions, warning records, restrictions, suspension records, ban records, appeal records, and safety audit logs.
- App settings and preferences.
- Account information, such as email address, Firebase user ID, login provider, authentication status, email-verification status, and account settings.
- Cloud backup, synchronisation, and restore information associated with your signed-in account.
- Purchase and entitlement information, such as product identifiers, transaction identifiers, purchase status, subscription status, trial status, entitlement status, and restore status.
- Technical information needed to operate, secure, diagnose, and improve the app, such as app version, device and operating-system information, request logs, crash or error information, and performance information where these services are enabled.
- Network and request information, such as IP address, request timestamps, server and security logs, and approximate location inferred from an IP address where this information is processed by Firebase, Google, hosting, security, or infrastructure providers.
- App and device integrity information used by Firebase App Check or Google Play Integrity, such as integrity tokens, app identifiers, package information, and related technical or anti-abuse signals.
- Affiliate-link interaction information, only where link tracking or analytics is enabled, such as whether an affiliate link was tapped.
- Support correspondence and information you provide when asking for help, exercising a privacy right, reporting a safety issue, or appealing a moderation decision.
We do not ask you to include sensitive personal information in notes, messages, profile text, reports, or support requests. Information you voluntarily enter may nevertheless reveal sensitive details. Please avoid including information that is not necessary.
Every Read does not currently request precise GPS location for its normal reading-tracker, Pro, or Community features. Infrastructure, fraud-prevention, and security providers may nevertheless infer a general or approximate location from an IP address when processing network requests.
How We Receive Information
We may receive information:
- Directly from you when you add content, create an account, complete an age assessment, make a purchase, use Community, or contact us.
- Automatically from your device, network connection, and the app when technical, security, diagnostic, hosting, or integrity services operate.
- From Google or Firebase when you sign in, verify your email, use cloud services, or use security features.
- From Google Play, RevenueCat, or another authorised payment provider when a purchase, subscription, trial, entitlement, or restore request is processed.
- From book-information providers when search results and book metadata are returned.
- From other users when they send you a request, invitation, message, reaction, report, or other permitted Community interaction.
- From moderators or support personnel when a report, appeal, restriction, or safety issue is reviewed.
Account, Login, Email Verification, and Firebase Services
Every Read uses Firebase services provided by Google to support account creation, email-and-password login, Google Sign-In, password reset, email verification, reauthentication, account security, cloud backup, cloud restore, social features, safety features, and account deletion.
Firebase Authentication is used to create and manage accounts and verify signed-in users. Firebase Firestore is used to store cloud-backed library data, profile data, social data, safety records, and account records where those features are used. Firebase Cloud Functions support secure server-side operations, including access checks, social actions, safety actions, and account deletion.
Firebase App Check and Google Play Integrity may be used to help confirm that requests come from an authentic app installation and to prevent fraud, automated abuse, unauthorised access, or misuse of backend services.
If you create or use an account, Firebase or related service providers may process your email address, user identifier, authentication provider, authentication tokens, email-verification status, device or app information, integrity information, and technical logs.
A verified email may be required before cloud backup, Pro purchasing, Community access, or other account-based features can be used. Email verification is one access requirement and does not by itself make a user eligible for Pro or Community.
Firebase and Google services are provided by Google and may process information in accordance with their own privacy and security practices.
Local-Only Mode
Every Read can be used in local-only mode without creating or signing into an account. In local-only mode, your books, notes, quotes, ratings, reading progress, reading status, preferences, and other reading information are stored on your device.
Local-only data is not uploaded to your Every Read cloud account and is not associated with a Firebase user account. 80EZ Studio cannot remotely access or delete information that exists only on your device.
You can remove local-only data by deleting it inside the app, clearing the app's storage through your device settings, or uninstalling the app. Android, Google, or device backup systems may retain copies according to your device and account backup settings.
Local and Cloud Storage
Some Every Read data is stored locally on your device. This may include your books, reading progress, notes, quotes, preferences, ratings, cached book information, and other app information.
If you sign in and use cloud backup, restore, profile, Pro, Community, safety, or subscription features, information may also be uploaded to and restored from Firebase Firestore or processed by related service providers.
Cloud-backed information may include:
- Books associated with your signed-in account.
- Book titles, authors, identifiers, covers, descriptions, and related book metadata.
- Reading progress and reading status.
- Ratings and favourites.
- Notes and saved quotes.
- Reading dates, goals, and synchronisation information.
- Usernames, profile information, visibility settings, friend relationships, friend requests, Community activity, Page Partner records, messages, invitations, reactions, and notifications.
- Age-band and age-assessment records used to enforce adult-only access.
- Safety records such as blocks, reports, evidence snapshots, moderation records, audit logs, restrictions, suspensions, bans, and appeals.
Cloud-backed information is associated with the user identifier for your signed-in Firebase account. Cloud backup and restore are optional because Every Read can also be used in local-only mode.
Adult-Only Pro and Community Access
Pro and Community are currently restricted to adults aged 18 or over. Community includes social and user-interaction features such as public or discoverable profiles, friends, friend requests, shared reading activity, Page Partners, invitations, participant lists, messages, reactions, notifications, blocking, reporting, and moderation.
When you deliberately attempt to access Pro or Community, Every Read may require you to sign in, complete an age assessment, verify your email, and satisfy the current Pro entitlement requirements. These checks are used only to decide whether the requested adult-only feature can be made available.
If the result is under 18, access is refused and the user may continue using available Free features. The age-assessment result takes priority over a purchase or entitlement record. The age assessment is not used for advertising, behavioural profiling, or personalising book recommendations.
We may ask for a new assessment if the stored assessment is missing, becomes outdated, or the age-assessment rules materially change.
Profiles, Username Discoverability, Friends, and Community Activity
Community is currently available only to eligible adults. If you use Community, profile information may be visible to other eligible users depending on your settings and the feature being used. This may include your username, reading bio, selected preset avatar, public profile fields, reading activity you choose to share, and whether your profile can be discovered through username search.
Your email address and full birth date are not intended to be displayed on your Community profile. Community identity is based on your account identifier and username, subject to privacy, blocking, discoverability, moderation, and account-status controls.
Friend features may process friend relationships, friend requests, request status, timestamps, profile previews, blocking state, and related notification records. Community features may process shared reading updates, reactions, messages, reports, and moderation decisions.
Page Partner features may process invitations, accepted or declined invitation records, participant lists, related book information, progress, page-linked messages, reactions, notifications, and safety reports. Page Partner messages and invitations may be visible to the people involved in that Page Partner activity and to authorised reviewers where required for safety, support, or moderation.
Information you intentionally share with another user may be copied, photographed, screenshotted, downloaded, or shared by that recipient outside Every Read. Misuse may breach the Terms and Conditions, Community rules, privacy rights, or applicable law, but 80EZ Studio cannot control or delete copies retained outside systems it controls. Deleting an item or account may therefore remove it from active Every Read systems without removing copies previously made by another person.
Blocking, Reporting, Moderation, and Safety Records
Every Read may provide blocking, reporting, moderation, warning, restriction, suspension, ban, and appeal features to protect users and maintain safe Community spaces.
If you block another account, we may store a blocked-account record so that the block can be enforced in both directions where supported. Blocking may affect profile visibility, username discovery, friend requests, invitations, messages, notifications, and access through old links or existing social records.
If you submit a report, we may store the report, reported account identifiers, relevant message, invitation, profile, or content references, evidence snapshots, timestamps, review status, moderator notes, actions taken, appeal status, and audit logs. Evidence snapshots may preserve relevant content as it appeared when the report was made, even if the content is later edited or deleted.
We may use reports and safety records to review potential abuse, harassment, threats, impersonation, sexual or exploitative content, illegal content, privacy violations, spam, fraud, evasion of safety systems, or other prohibited behaviour.
Depending on the issue, we may remove or restrict content, limit discoverability, disable Community features, issue a warning, restrict an account, suspend access, permanently ban an account, preserve evidence, or cooperate with app stores, service providers, law enforcement, regulators, or emergency services where legally required or where necessary to address a serious safety risk.
Account and Data Deletion
If you create a Every Read account, you can permanently delete it directly inside the app by opening: Settings > Account > Delete account.
You may need to reauthenticate using your password or Google account before deletion can continue.
When account deletion succeeds, Every Read begins deletion of:
- Your Firebase Authentication account.
- Your cloud-backed books.
- Your cloud-backed notes and saved quotes.
- Your ratings and favourites.
- Your reading progress and reading statuses.
- Related book metadata stored with your cloud account.
- Cloud-backed profile and social records associated with your account, except for limited records retained for safety, security, legal, audit, dispute, fraud-prevention, or abuse-prevention purposes.
- Local app data on that device that belongs to the signed-in account where the app can remove it.
Books, notes, and other reading information stored only in local-only mode are not associated with your cloud account and are not deleted when you delete a cloud account.
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Active account data is normally removed promptly, but limited records and provider-held backups or technical records may remain for the retention purposes described in this policy.
If you cannot access the app, you can request deletion of your Every Read account and associated account data using the account-deletion page: https://80ezstudio.github.io/EveryRead/delete-account/
Verified support-assisted deletion requests are normally processed within 30 days. We may ask for information needed to confirm that you control the account before acting on the request.
Firebase, Google, RevenueCat, Google Play, or other service providers may retain limited technical, security, fraud-prevention, operational, purchase, tax, accounting, or legal records under their own retention policies or where required by law.
Book Search and Book Information
Every Read may use external book-information sources to search for books and display details such as title, author, description, cover image, page count, publication information, and identifiers such as ISBN.
These services may include Google Books and Open Library. When you search for a book, the search terms, author, keyword, ISBN, or related search information you enter may be sent to the relevant provider so that results can be returned.
These services are not controlled by 80EZ Studio and may process information under their own privacy policies. My Bookshelf does not sell your saved reading notes, personal bookshelf, ratings, or reading progress.
Affiliate Links
Every Read may include links to third-party websites or services, including Amazon book pages.
Some links may be affiliate links. This means that if you tap a link and make a qualifying purchase, 80EZ Studio may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
When you tap an affiliate link, you may leave Every Read and visit a third-party website, app, or service. We do not control those third parties, and their own privacy policies, terms, payment processes, delivery processes, returns policies, and data practices apply.
Every Read does not collect your Amazon payment details, card details, delivery address, Amazon account password, or Amazon purchase history. Purchases, payments, delivery, returns, refunds, and Amazon account activity are handled by Amazon.
We may record that an affiliate link was tapped only if analytics or link tracking is enabled. Where enabled, the information may be used to understand which links are used, improve book discovery, and support app functionality.
Paid Features, Purchases, Subscriptions, and RevenueCat
Every Read may offer subscriptions, trials, one-time purchases, or other paid products. Every Read Pro is currently restricted to users aged 18 or over.
Payments and purchase management may be handled by Google Play or another authorised payment provider. We do not directly receive or store your full payment-card details.
Every Read uses RevenueCat to help process and verify subscription entitlements. RevenueCat, Google Play, and related providers may process purchase status, subscription status, entitlement status, product identifiers, transaction identifiers, account or app-user identifiers, device or app information, and related technical information so that paid access can be unlocked, restored, and managed for an eligible adult.
You can cancel subscription renewals through Google Play or the relevant payment provider. Refunds and billing disputes are governed by the provider's policies and any mandatory consumer rights that apply in your location.
Paid features, prices, subscription options, included features, trial availability, billing periods, and access rules may change over time, subject to applicable law and app-store rules.

We may use information to:

- Save notes, quotes, ratings, preferences, and reading information.
- Provide book search and book discovery features.

- Comply with legal obligations, establish or defend legal claims, and enforce our terms and Community rules.
- Improve the app and develop new features in a proportionate way.
Lawful Bases for Processing
Where UK or European data-protection law applies, we rely on one or more lawful bases depending on the purpose:
- Contract: where processing is necessary to provide an account, cloud service, Pro feature, Community feature, purchase, subscription, support service, or another feature you request.
- Legitimate interests: where processing is necessary to operate and improve the app, maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse, enforce rules, protect users, investigate reports, moderate Community activity, support legitimate business continuity or reorganisation, and defend our rights, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights and interests.
- Legal obligation: where processing is necessary to comply with law, regulatory duties, lawful requests, accounting obligations, or consumer-protection requirements.
- Consent: where we ask for permission for an optional device permission, optional analytics, optional tracking, marketing, or another use for which consent is required. You may withdraw consent at any time, although this does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal.
- Vital interests: in limited circumstances where processing is necessary to protect someone's life or address an immediate and serious safety risk.
Providing information is usually optional, but some information is required for a requested feature. For example, an email address and authentication information are required for an account; an age assessment is required for Pro or Community eligibility; and purchase information is required to provide paid access. If you do not provide the required information, the relevant feature cannot be provided.
Permissions
Every Read may request camera access for features such as barcode or ISBN scanning. Camera access is used only when you choose to use the scanner. Every Read does not intentionally upload or store photographs or videos captured by the barcode scanner.
Permissions are used only for the features you choose to use. You can manage app permissions through your device settings.
Notifications
Every Read may provide account, reading, purchase, security, Page Partner, friend-request, Community, safety, update, or service notifications where the relevant feature is enabled. Notification records may include the type of notification, related account or content identifier, delivery or read status, and timestamps.
You can manage available notification preferences inside Every Read and can disable app notifications through your Android device settings. Disabling device notifications does not prevent essential information from appearing inside the app or being sent by email where necessary for account, security, purchase, safety, or legal purposes.
Profile Avatars and Images
Every Read may offer preset avatar options for eligible Community profiles. If custom image-upload features are introduced, this Privacy Policy will be updated before those features are released where the change is material.
Analytics, Advertising, Crash Reporting, and Tracking
Every Read uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand app usage and whether a newly installed app reaches useful reading actions. Google Analytics for Firebase may automatically process an app-instance identifier, app lifecycle and screen interaction events, app and device information, masked IP addresses used to derive coarse location, and purchase or subscription event information. Google provides this service as a processor for 80EZ Studio, subject to the applicable Firebase and Google terms and settings.
Every Read also records a small first-session activation funnel for fresh installs. The custom events record only that a first session began, a first book was added, reading progress was first increased, a first private note was saved, or a first book was finished. These custom events have no parameters. They do not include book titles, authors, ISBNs, note or quote content, usernames, email addresses, account identifiers, or other personal reading data. 80EZ Studio does not set a Google Analytics user ID or custom user property for this funnel.
Advertising ID collection and analytics ad-personalisation signals are disabled in Every Read. 80EZ Studio does not sell personal information and does not use this analytics funnel for advertising or personalised advertising. Analytics information is used to understand app adoption and improve the product.
Every Read may use other technical services, including Firebase, Google services, RevenueCat, and Google Play services, to support authentication, integrity checks, diagnostics, crash reporting, security, app performance, purchase processing, subscription-entitlement management, and app functionality where those services are enabled.
Affiliate links may allow 80EZ Studio to earn a commission if you make a qualifying purchase after tapping the link. Affiliate links are not the same as personalised advertising.
If personalised advertising, additional analytics services, expanded crash-reporting tools, or materially broader tracking is introduced, this Privacy Policy and the Google Play Data Safety information will be updated where required before those practices are used in a released version of the app.
Data Sharing and Recipients
We may share or permit the processing of information only where reasonably necessary to operate Every Read, provide requested features, verify purchases, provide Community and safety functions, maintain security, diagnose technical issues, comply with law, or protect users and our rights.
Recipients and service providers may include:
- Firebase and Google services, including authentication, Firestore, Cloud Functions, App Check, and Play Integrity services.
- Google Play.
- RevenueCat.
- Authorised payment or purchase providers.
- Google Books.
- Open Library.
- Amazon and affiliate service providers when you choose to use an affiliate link.
- Hosting, support, moderation, safety, security, and abuse-prevention providers.
- Professional advisers, regulators, law enforcement, courts, emergency services, or public authorities where disclosure is lawful and necessary.
- Professional advisers, prospective purchasers, investors, financing providers, or a successor organisation involved in a genuine business transfer, subject to confidentiality and applicable data-protection law.
- Other eligible Community users, but only for profile information, content, messages, invitations, reactions, or activity that you choose to make visible or share through the relevant feature.
If you tap an external or affiliate link, you may leave Every Read and interact directly with a third-party website, app, or service. That third party may collect and process information under its own privacy policy. We are not responsible for third-party privacy practices.
Business Transfers and Reorganisation
If 80EZ Studio or Every Read is involved in a genuine merger, acquisition, financing, reorganisation, sale of assets, transfer of the service, insolvency process, or similar business transaction, personal information may be disclosed to professional advisers, prospective purchasers, investors, financing providers, or the organisation that continues the service where reasonably necessary to evaluate or complete that transaction.
We will take reasonable steps to require confidentiality and compliance with applicable data-protection law. Where required, we will give notice before personal information becomes subject to materially different privacy practices.
International Data Transfers
Some service providers may process information in countries outside the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area. Where data-protection law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we rely on measures made available by the relevant provider or otherwise applicable to the transfer, such as adequacy regulations, approved contractual protections, or another lawful transfer mechanism.
You may contact us at 80ezstudio@gmail.com for further information about the safeguards relevant to Every Read.
Data Retention and Deletion
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including to provide the app, maintain accounts, verify purchases, comply with law, resolve disputes, protect users, investigate abuse, preserve evidence, enforce terms, and maintain security.
Information stored locally on your device remains there until you delete it in the app, clear the app's data, or uninstall the app, subject to Android, Google, or device backup settings.
Cloud-backed information is generally retained while your account and cloud library remain active, or until you delete specific information or delete your account.
Purchase and entitlement records may be retained for as long as needed to provide paid access, process restores, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and comply with tax, accounting, app-store, and legal requirements.
Reports, evidence snapshots, blocked-account records, moderation records, audit logs, restrictions, suspensions, bans, and appeals may be retained after account deletion where reasonably necessary for safety, security, legal compliance, abuse prevention, dispute resolution, repeat-offender controls, legal claims, or audit purposes. The retention period depends on factors such as the seriousness of the issue, whether an appeal or dispute remains open, the risk of repeated abuse, and applicable legal limitation periods.
Service providers may retain backups, technical logs, security records, fraud-prevention records, or transaction records under their own retention policies. Deletion from backup systems may occur on the provider's normal backup cycle.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect information. These may include authenticated access, email verification, server-side authorisation, Firebase Security Rules, App Check, integrity checks, access controls, data minimisation, and logging for security and audit purposes.
No method of transmission, processing, or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Information sent to Firebase, Google Books, Open Library, RevenueCat, Google Play, and other online services is transmitted using encrypted network connections where supported by those services.
You are responsible for keeping your device and account secure, including protecting your login credentials, using a device screen lock, keeping your operating system updated, and reviewing your device backup settings.
Automated Age Assessment and Access Decisions
Every Read uses the birth date entered during the age-assessment flow to calculate an age band. The logic compares the date with the current date and assigns the user to an age band. The birth date is then discarded rather than stored as part of the account.
The result is used to decide whether Pro and Community may be accessed. An adult result allows the user to continue to the remaining eligibility checks. An under-18 result blocks Pro and Community and allows the user to return to available Free features.
This decision is not used for advertising, credit, employment, insurance, or behavioural profiling. If you believe an age result is incorrect or want a decision reviewed, contact 80ezstudio@gmail.com.
Your Choices, Rights, and Safety Controls
You may choose whether to use optional account, login, sync, backup, cloud, Pro, Community, or affiliate book discovery features where those features are available and you are eligible. You can use Every Read in local-only mode without creating an account.
You can delete books, notes, quotes, ratings, and other saved information within the app where controls are provided. You can permanently delete your account through Settings > Account > Delete account.
You can manage device permissions through your device settings, manage subscriptions through Google Play or the relevant payment provider, and stop using Every Read by uninstalling it.
Eligible Community users can use available blocking and reporting controls. You may also contact us to report a safety concern, request a review, or appeal a moderation decision.
Depending on your location and the lawful basis used, you may have rights to:
- Ask for access to personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Ask us to delete information in certain circumstances.
- Ask us to restrict processing in certain circumstances.
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Receive certain information in a portable format where the right applies.
- Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.
- Ask for human review of an automated age-access decision.
- Complain to a data-protection regulator.
These rights are not absolute and may be limited by law, safety needs, the rights of other people, or the need to preserve evidence and comply with legal obligations. To exercise a right, contact 80ezstudio@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity and account ownership before responding.
Where applicable law permits, an authorised representative may submit a privacy request on your behalf. We may require evidence of the representative's authority and may contact you directly to verify the request before disclosing, changing, or deleting information.
Your right to object: Where we rely on legitimate interests, you may object to the processing of your personal information. We will stop the processing unless we have compelling legitimate grounds to continue or the processing is needed for legal claims. You have an absolute right to object to direct marketing.
Users Under 18
Free reading-tracker features may be available to users under 18. Pro and Community are currently unavailable to all users under 18.
We do not request a birth date solely for Free use, so we may not know a Free user's age unless the user attempts an adult-only feature, provides age information to support, or age information is otherwise lawfully made known to us.
Parents and guardians should supervise use by younger users and decide whether optional account, cloud, external link, or affiliate features are appropriate. Where local law requires parental or guardian authorisation for a particular processing activity, that feature should not be used unless the required authorisation has been provided.
Parents or guardians may contact 80ezstudio@gmail.com to request review, restriction, correction, or deletion of a minor's account information. We may need to verify the requester's identity, relationship to the user, and authority to act.
If we learn that a child under 13 created an account or submitted personal information directly to Every Read contrary to these rules, we will investigate and delete or restrict the account and affected information as required by applicable law. This does not affect reading information held only on a device in local-only mode, which 80EZ Studio cannot access remotely.
Before any future decision to make Pro, Community, messaging, discoverability, or other social features available to users under 18, we will review the relevant privacy and safety risks, update this policy where required, and introduce appropriate safeguards.
Additional Information for United States Residents
This section supplements the rest of this Privacy Policy for people in the United States. Privacy rights differ by state, and some state privacy laws apply only when a business meets particular legal thresholds. Where a federal or state privacy law applies to 80EZ Studio, we will provide the rights and protections required by that law.
Children's privacy in the United States
The account, cloud, Pro, and Community portions of Every Read are not directed to children under 13. A child under 13 may use only eligible local-only Free features under the control and supervision of a parent or guardian. Local-only information remains on the device and is not intentionally collected online by 80EZ Studio.
We do not knowingly collect personal information online from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent. A child under 13 must not create a Every Read account, use cloud features, submit personal information directly to 80EZ Studio, or attempt to access Pro or Community. If we learn that personal information was collected online from a child under 13 contrary to these rules, we will investigate and delete or restrict the account and affected information as required by the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act and other applicable law.
A parent or guardian may contact 80ezstudio@gmail.com to ask whether we hold personal information about a child, request deletion, or raise a concern. We may require reasonable verification of identity, relationship, and authority before acting.
Rights under United States state privacy laws
Depending on your state and whether the relevant law applies to 80EZ Studio, you may have the right to:
- Confirm whether we process personal information about you.
- Request access to or disclosure of personal information and related processing details.
- Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Request deletion of personal information, subject to lawful exceptions.
- Receive certain personal information in a portable and, where technically feasible, readily usable format.
- Opt out of the sale of personal information, targeted advertising, or certain profiling where those activities occur and the right applies.
- Limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information where the right applies.
- Receive equal service and not be unlawfully discriminated against for exercising a privacy right.
- Use an authorised agent where applicable law permits.
- Appeal a refusal to act on a request where applicable state law provides an appeal right.
You may submit a privacy request by emailing 80ezstudio@gmail.com. You may also use the in-app account-deletion process for deletion of an eligible Every Read account. Please describe the right you wish to exercise and provide enough information for us to identify the relevant account or records.
We may verify your identity and authority before completing a request. Verification information will be used only for verification, security, fraud prevention, and legal compliance. We will respond within the period required by applicable law. Where a law uses a 45-day response period, that period may be extended where the law allows and where notice of the extension is provided.
If we refuse a request and your state provides an appeal right, you may appeal by emailing 80ezstudio@gmail.com with the subject line Privacy Appeal. We will explain the outcome and, where required, how to contact the relevant state attorney general or other regulator.
California notice at collection and privacy disclosures
For California residents, the categories of personal information that Every Read may collect are described under Information We Collect. The sources are described under How We Receive Information; the purposes are described under How We Use Information; the categories of recipients are described under Data Sharing and Recipients; and the retention criteria are described under Data Retention and Deletion. Those sections form part of this notice at collection.
Depending on how the app is used, these categories may include identifiers and account information, customer or commercial records relating to subscriptions, internet or other electronic network activity, device and integrity information, approximate location inferred from an IP address, user-generated content, profile and social information, purchase and entitlement information, and inferences strictly necessary to determine an age band or provide requested app functions.
80EZ Studio does not sell personal information for money. Every Read does not currently share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, process personal information for targeted advertising, or use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about a person. Disclosures to service providers such as Firebase, Google, Google Play, RevenueCat, hosting, security, moderation, and support providers are made for the operational purposes described in this Privacy Policy and are not intended to be sales or advertising sharing.
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of users under 16. Because Every Read does not currently sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, it does not currently provide a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link. If those practices change, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any legally required notices and opt-out controls before or when the change takes effect.
Every Read does not currently respond differently to a browser “Do Not Track” signal because it does not use cross-site behavioural advertising. Where applicable law requires recognition of a universal opt-out mechanism, such as Global Privacy Control, for a future sale, sharing, or targeted-advertising activity, we will honour the signal as required.
We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct-marketing purposes in exchange for money. California residents may contact 80ezstudio@gmail.com with questions about California privacy rights.
United States regulatory complaints
You may contact us first so that we can investigate and respond. You may also have the right to complain to the Federal Trade Commission, your state attorney general, or another competent United States regulator. Nothing in this Privacy Policy limits a right to contact a regulator, law-enforcement authority, or court.
Relationship to Google Play Data Safety
This Privacy Policy is intended to reflect Every Read's actual data practices and remain consistent with the disclosures provided in the Google Play Data Safety form. If data practices materially change, we will update this Privacy Policy and the Google Play disclosures where required.
Future Features and Changes
Every Read may add, remove, change, limit, suspend, or discontinue features over time. This may include Free features, paid features, subscriptions, trials, account features, cloud features, Community features, safety features, affiliate links, analytics, advertising, crash reporting, custom profile images, or other features.
If a future feature involves materially different personal-information practices, this Privacy Policy will be updated before or when the change is introduced, as required by law.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated policy will be made available in the app, on the policy page, or by another reasonable method. Where a change materially affects how personal information is used, we will provide additional notice or seek consent where required by law.
