Delete your Every Read account

This page explains how to permanently delete your Every Read account and the cloud data associated with it.
Delete your account in the app
You can permanently delete your account directly in Every Read by opening: Settings > Account > Delete account.
You may be asked to reauthenticate using your password or Google account. Successful in-app deletion is normally completed immediately.
If you cannot access the app
If you cannot access the app, you can request account deletion by emailing us:
Please send the request from the email address linked to your Every Read account where possible. If that is not possible, include the account email address in your message so we can verify the request.
What data will be deleted
When deletion succeeds, we permanently delete your Every Read Firebase Authentication account and the cloud-backed data associated with that account.
This may include:
- Cloud-backed books
- Notes and saved quotes
- Ratings
- Reading progress
- Reading statuses
- Related book metadata stored with your account
Data stored locally on the device under your signed-in account is also removed by the app after successful account deletion.
Local-only data
Books and notes saved in local-only mode are stored only on your device and are not associated with your cloud account. Account deletion does not delete this local-only data.
You can remove local-only data by deleting it inside the app, clearing the app's storage in your device settings, or uninstalling the app. Android or device backup systems may retain backups according to your device and account settings.
What data may be retained
We may retain limited technical or legal records where required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or operational reasons. Firebase and Google may also retain limited records under their own policies.
Any retained information will be kept only for as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes.
Processing time
Successful in-app deletion is normally completed immediately. Support-assisted deletion requests are normally processed within 30 days after we verify the request.
